Awoke this morning to a 59 degree Fahrenheit home. It felt cool and moist after the rain last night from the weakened remnants of hurricane Hilary. The feeling of fall and back to school is in the air for me. In the University buildings, students are returning from summer breaks and jobs, gathered in twos and threes sharing stories before class begins next week. After a year long sabbatical, I am preparing class work and assignments in this new ChatGPT world. Some incoming students were born 2005, Facebook birthed February 2004 has been their companion and journal, known or not! |
Join me in prayer for humanities, “Back to School” season and accept the words that speak to you as your own.
Remember and recognize the excitement of returning to school for the once again gathering with chattering voices of both friends and new faces. Each person coming together from different experiences over the summer break. Amidst the cacophony, a unifying energy pervades. It is the heartbeat of the One Presence that animates each and every person, in school or out. This profound Power of peace found in the quiet space between sound holds the world and her peoples in reverence and joy. This is the All in All, felt right here … and right now.
This One I choose to call God surrounds me in this moment and touches my every thought and sensation. I experience the connection as the cool air and awakening birds. I am graced.
I know and claim a magnificent “Back to School” for me and all the peoples of the World. For a moment allow a piece of the perfection of a new day, a new season, a new reason to Live. Stop. Stop the chaos and noise. Allow the space between each breath to lengthen. Notice the gap between thought, sound and feeling. In that reverie know with me a new hope and surety of good all around. Back to school to re learn the ways of speaking in kind and generous tones, seeing myself and those around me as brother, sister, mother, father, daughter and son. Back to school in praise of learning and re-learning the amazing grace of the gift of life and the absolute teeming variety on the planet today.
I am awed with gratitude for this time to put pen to paper in my “back to school assignment”. It reminds me of the power and grace of mind, connection and co-creation.
So I let these words and feelings of reverence soar out, already acted upon by Love and Law, knowing this the best fall yet.
And so it is.
